About Jane Prinsep

Copywriter & Editor – Travel Writer – Face & Body Artist

I’m Jane Prinsep and like most women, I wear multiple hats and juggle many balls in the air. I don’t feel the need to categorise myself, but ‘Creative Communicator and Hustler’ gives you an idea of who I am.

Writing is my life’s passion. It’s what I ‘do’. If you or your business is struggling with words, in any capacity, you’ll want me on your team. You can read a little bit more about this over on my Content & Editorial page. And do please contact me if you’d like to discuss how I can help you.

I’m an experienced traveller and have worked in the industry for many years, both selling trips and travel writing. I’m also a blogger. My Swiss blog, Splintered Reflections, from my days living by Lake Geneva with my two young kids, gained quite a following. Since then, I’ve started anew with Raging Zoo. Oh, and a third kid – you know, because I needed another ball to juggle.

About the name… Raging Zoo is my brainchild. The phrase came from a line in a book I read in my twenties (Tully by Paullina Simons), in which a teenage girl with mental health issues uses it to describe her state of mind in her last correspondence to her best friend. You can read Jennifer’s Last Letter to Tully here. It resonated with me deeply over the last two decades. Finally, after my recent diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, I understood why. Raging Zoo is known within the local body art industry as it’s the name of my face painting company that I began back in 2012. But I’ve branched out and re-branded. Now it extends to writing, both professional and personal (including exploring BPD), and this creative space.

Thank you for being here. I’m chuffed that you are.
